List Item ID param name

Hi,

Can you explain what "List Item ID param name" is used for. I assumed it gave the ability to click on a pin and for it to take you to the underlying record in the SharePoint list. I've tried values of ID and ContentID but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Thanks

Hi Jonathan,

parameter "List Item ID param name" identifies the name of URL parameter that will be used by the webpart to read ID of list item that should be displayed on Google map. This parameter has only meaning together with List URL and Web URL. I use this on DispForms. Display form displays details of item while my webpart is showing the location of item on Google map. In this scenario the value of "List Item ID param name" parameter is ID as this URL parameter contains ID of item that should webpart display. It is because standard URL of dispform is dispform.asp?ID=1. In this case webpart displays only single point on map.

Hope this helps.
